2020 Game Awards Nominations Revealed

An unpredictable year demands an unpredictable Game Awards — which we didn’t really get, but there’s a twist thrown in here and there. The nominees were revealed today and even though a total of 75 games are mentioned over 23 categories, they’re dominated by two or three of the year’s biggest releases that get a mention in nearly every category they qualify for.
Get used to seeing The Last Of Us Part II in this list; it was nominated in ten categories, more than any other 2020 game, and is sure to win some of them. Ghost Of Tsushima, Final Fantasy 7 Remake and the indie slasher Hades were also nominated for everything, and in many cases these games will all be competing against each other.
The Game Awards will be held December 10, virtually from locations around the world. Check out the full list below and see if your favorite 2020 games made the cut.
