We don’t know how Netflix’s version of Avatar The Last Airbender will turn out (without the creators’ input, it’s up in the air), but we do know at this point what Aang will look like…and Karara, and Sokka, and Fore Lord Ozai and just about everyone else except Toph, who probably won’t appear in Season 1, barring some kind of mid-credits stinger.

I'm cautiously optimistic about this. The casting choices are interesting, especially with characters like Jet making an early appearance. But Mayor Yukari? That's a deep cut! I hope they weave her into the narrative seamlessly. And Danny Pudi as The Mechanist is a wildcard, for sure. Let's see if this Netflix adaptation lives up to the legacy of the animated series.

Gran-Gran making a cameo is a delightful nod to the OG series! Casey Camp-Horinek, I hope she brings that grandmotherly wisdom to life even if it's just for Episode 1. And Mayor Yukari – now that's a blast from the past! The casting choices are making me all kinds of nostalgic. The costumes looks good. They look character accurate but doesnt look like mall cosplayers

I'm still on the fence about this adaptation, especially after the creators stepped away. Mayor Yukari and The Mechanist weren't exactly central characters in the original, so I hope these additions don't overshadow the core story. Let's hope Netflix doesn't sacrifice substance for style.

"Always remember who you are", that line touched me. I've always been a fan of The Airbender, and I'm sure this will also have an impact when I watch it.
I've just watched the trailer, and I'm looking forward to its release in February.
I'm sure the actors will do a good job.
