This was the only episode Smallville I'd ever seen (I only got into comics a few months ago and my roommate watched all 8.5 seasons last semester and didn't like it. Still don't know why he watched so much of it if he didn't like it...), and I really only watched it because I wanted to see Micheal Shanks outside of Stargate. I thought it was pretty good though. Aside from Hawkman's costume the live-action JSA costumes didn't look half bad. I'd keep watching from this point holding out hope that we'd see a live-action Alan Scott, but I'm guessing the fact that Geoff Johns wrote this episode means that it's the only good one there will ever be. I'd probably watch a show about this JSA, since I could tell that the rest of the regular Smallville stuff was trying pretty hard not to look comic-booky but they were true to the JSA's comic-bookness.
