Deadpool Spin-Off Moving Forward

20th Century Fox is developing a X-Men Origins: Wolverine spin-off featuring Deadpool, the wise-cracking mercenary played in the film by Ryan Reynolds, says The Hollywood Reporter.

Reynolds is attached to reprise the character for what for now is simply being called Deadpool. Lauren Shuler Donner and Marvel Studios would act as producers.

The project is currently out to writers.

The trade adds that the studio considered a Deadpool spin-off early in "Wolverine's" development process, which is why it cast Reynolds.

Good lord, that's way too many spinoffs.

Ryan Reynold's has been pushing for this movie since 2003. We'll see if this one ends up in the same bin as that botched Venom project.

Remember folks the only confirmed X-Men spin offs that are actually being put into the production at the moment are Magneto and First Class.

damn Ryan actually did it, well is almost about to do it. Every interview I see with him, he mentions how much he loves Deadpool. I'm a little surprised but at the same time i'm not.

If Robert Downey can push marvel to make him IRONMAN, then Ryan can def be in a deadpool film.
