The surf will be up on Apple TV when they produce a TV adaption of the children’s graphic novel series “Surfside Girls.” The announcement was made by the streamer / overpriced electronics producer over the weekend.
The surfside girls of “Surfside Girls” are Sam and Jade, two residents of a beachside town who are polar opposites yet best friends. One eventful summer (to put it mildly) they encounter the ghost of a pirate named Remi, and become clued into the existence of a cursed treasure hidden deep under the Danger Point bluff. They must both figure out a way to get rid of the curse, but they have different ways of approaching it. Jade is more analytical and seems more concerned with decoding the logic of why a ghost would exist in the first place, while Sam just accepts it and enthusiastically dives into danger. Presumably they save their town from the curse because a sequel was released later (and a third book is due out tomorrow).
