Woo, Kouga! And dropping some major hints that they might do something else with him too!? Even Gonza the butler commented on how awesome it was to see him again.

Not sure if it's just the translation, but that episode very carefully tiptoed around whether seasons 3 and 5 are in continuity with the other live action series. They refer to them going back to separate worlds and yet refer to the "Garo of your time".

Still, very cool to have characters covering every live action series all in one episode.

The japanese word "sekai" doesn't mean just world on a physical sense, also an abstract, like a context. Every time they deal with time travelling they use the world sekai, "anta no sekai", "mirai no sekai", "kako no sekai". So I don't think they are being ambiguous, the opposite, they are practically confirming that it is the future, considering that that's what Eiris portals do, travel through time.
