Shin and Kiriko go to the place where the reported incident took place - the forensic science dept of the police hq.
Btw, the bandage on Kiriko's forehead has a rabbits-and-carrots pattern on it lol

They meet a scientist who claims to have experienced the slowdown/donyori, Minowa Mariko. She carries dorayaki around and is also a Drive fangirl lol.
A forensic scientist, Shigeta, has also disappeared

Krim can talk through the Tridoron Shift Car. :laugh:

The Roidmude this time is 106, a fusion evolution with a human. (He's Thief Roidmude/)
He(they?) drop a piece of evidence he had stolen - it is a paper with the forensic results of the bullet used in the bank robbery incident 12 years ago.

Nira is still at the SCU. There's mention that the memories of people who were affected by 001's ice needles are beginning to unfreeze.(probably due to Rinna's antidote)

As Shin and Kiriko continue to investigate and search for the missing forensic scientist, they run into Heart. The way they transformed back-to-back was super cool!!
Heart can now use the more advanced form of slowdown, Medic was the one who helped Heart gain this power.
Well, at least Heart and Medic haven't been idle these few episodes. Also, it's been a while since we last saw Heart in action.
I'm glad that Shin didn't go to Type Tridoron straight away and instead used Formula.

Chase saves Kiriko from Brain.
Meanwhile, Gou is talking to Banno. That's basically his only scene in this episode, yeah.
I wonder when he'll show up to the SCU and the drive pit again...

Shin feels that it's strange how Heart knows where to wait for him and returns to the SCU.
They manage to find 106 and Brain with the missing scientist, and finally the culprit who killed Eisuke is revealed!
The way the reveal was done was really nice. The "new improved" antidote was actually a trap set by Shin and Honganji.

Nira Mitsuhide was a colleague of Tomari Eisuke 12 years ago. He had disliked Eisuke because he was extremely jealous of him. It's also probably why he keeps pushing Shin around in the current time.
Flashback to the bank robbery 12 years ago. Nira was there; he was called there by Eisuke. Nira took down Maruya and grabbed his gun. However, instead of shooting Negishi, he shot Eisuke instead...
001 rewrote everyone's memories and made Nira swear loyalty to him by holding the gun hostage. 001 had then given the evidence of gun and bullet to Shigeta, who hid them in the office.

Brain saves Nira from getting arrested by Shin/Drive. He feels a resonance with Nira's jealousy and decides to do a fusion in order to evolve. The addition of Nira's jealousy is apparently enough for Brain to break the limit, though it's not a full fusion, and start to evolve.

So... Why didn't Shinnosuke go straight to Type Tridoron? He was fighting the current leader of the Roidmudes, there was no reason to be holding back especially when he goes straight to Type Tridoron later in the episode when fighting a way weaker opponent, which yeah sure, he murdered his father but why not go straight to Tridoron for both incidents?

He was fighting the current leader of the Roidmudes, there was no reason to be holding back especially when he goes straight to Type Tridoron later in the episode when fighting a way weaker opponent, which yeah sure, he murdered his father but why not go straight to Tridoron for both incidents?

Because it's currently unknown if Type Tridoron can handle the Super Donyori while Formula was made for it (And by what we've seen so far, Type Tridoron is slower than Formula). So, from a battle stand point it's better to go with the true and tested formula (no pun intended) then try something new and possibly fail.

Which is why it was a surprise that Nira was capable of killing someone. Since he came off as someone who's too spineless to even do that.

What if down the line Nira controlled Brain and hijacked Medic and Heart and took control of the remaining Roidmudes, evolvedsinto Ultimate Being of Human/Hybrid with agito god-like power, forcing Gou to merge with Chase in order defeat them? That'd be EPIC!

Rinna said that Drive couldn't be upgraded anymore, it could be that Type Formula's stats on offense and speed are better than Type Tridoron.
