Ugh. I'm enjoying the show so far, but some of these tires are just idiotic. Which is sad, given- I think- this is the first season I've seen where they kind of failed at the form changes. It just feels more like someone got incredibly bored rather than someone was trying to design an actual weapon. Who in their right mind would make one that may or may not work when you need it to just because it's gambling themed... and why make it gambling themed in the first place?!? :redface2:

Also, if I'm right about the belt being what's left of the guy who made all this crap, his reaction to that was kind of douchey.

I'm willing to bet someone at Bandai just thought "Hey, we made a show about stupid-looking fruit guys, and it was super-popular, let's make one about cars with stupid-looking tires slapped on the suits. That'll be popular, two."

Well, this should quell the disdain about Rumble Dump's drill.

Ok, from the first episode it would seem that all the Shift Cars are already out in the world. I really hope they have a good reason as to why Drive can't access all his upgrades immediately other than "they were all busy doing their own things".

What's the name of the Roidmude that Tridoron Type Wild is fighting?
Plus, the Roidmudes are officially among my favourite Kaijin of the Heisei era Rider-series.

I like how Chaser's new weapon has its forms modeled after a Spider, a Bat, and a Cobra.

And looks like next issue will finally give us Type Fruit + Drive Arms.

In defence of that Dice Sabre, it was probably a cool thing to have as a roleplaying toy and meant it wasn't just another generic sword. I probably also wager that most of us enjoyed the gag when it was used on the show the first time because it was at least fitting of Nitou's personality and came at such an unexpected moment.

Here in Drive, I really don't know why they bothered. There's no similar roleplaying toy to be had out of Dream Vegas, so all that's left is an in-show gag and well, it doesn't work. Our cop protagonist - or well, whatever Takaiwa can do with the material given to him - is just left looking like a forced, awkward chump instead of a genuine chump. Plus it wasn't funny because Nitou had already kicked that horse to death.
