Said middle-aged actor was Lou Oshiba

I don't recall if anyone posted this but it's a 2ch rumour from that Tumblr blog people keep linking: http://kamenriderdrive.tumblr.com/post/95356031510/once-again-zqacw-7nsedj-has-posted-some

仮面ライダードライブは、結構きっちり警察組織が描かれる予定。
婦警のレギュラー、役名はこのスレの上記であってる。
変身音声も、ほぼそんな感じ。

Kamen Rider Drive is going to involve a law enforcement-like organization. A regular policewoman will be part of it like mentioned earlier in the thread. The transformation sounds even sound like it.

A policewoman, huh? Was Rinko popular in Japan, I wonder?

The show hasn't even started but it's definitely been a fun build up to him

Even the magazine scan has been progressing from grainy to clear.

Ughh that tire across his chest, it's like a sash from those beauty pageants. Not digging it. The head is pretty cool. The mouthpiece divides the bug eyes. I wonder what the R stands for on his head? Rider?, It doesn't represent the name of the form which is Type Speed or D for Drive. I also noticed that no one pointed out the shift brace on his left wrist. Doesn't look too dynamic, I wonder what the henshin is going to be like. Probably going to insert the toy cars into the brace and then scanning it on the belt. The belt is nice. Love the Showa-look to it and doesn't look as bulky as the Fourze Driver.

I'm cool with it. I like the eyes, the spoiler is pretty clever, the mouthpiece is pretty unique. While I'm not in love with the tire, it's not that bad. I really like that they included the 'type speed' text along the tire, that's really clever. With the way the "R" on the belt is stylized I hope it has the Kuuga/Agito/Black style spinning middle piece on the DX drive driver. While I feel that its highly unlikely that I will love this series as much as I've adored Gaim, but I'm totally down to give this series a shot. Can't wait for the premiere!

There was a middle-aged actor who mentioned being in the new show and his blog post was very quickly removed. I'd guess that he'll be running the fruit bar antique store place the Rider hangs out in.

I wouldn't mind one day having a prominant Rider who's in their late twenties or early thirties, but I doubt it'll happen. Toei couldn't even get it together enough for Gakt to have more than an arm-ripping cameo as alternate Riderman, and the trend has been for older actors to play evil Riders.
Ya having a older rider as the main character would be a nice change to see in the future of kamen rider.

Well I don't think it'll happen for the main Rider - throughout its' history KR has presented being a hero almost as something you do instead of going to university/college. But it'd be nice to see it in a secondary Rider in a multiple Rider show. For example, I know Professor Ryoma in Gaim is played by an actor who's 26, but visually he looks about the same age as the other characters. I'm sure his youth is meant to make his genius seem all the more impressive, but I can imagine that character being played by a guy who's visibly a little older than that. And just look at the number of fans who really wanted Bando to get a belt.

Did you guys notice how the Kamen Rider Drive logo's font is back to the Showa style one? Even the "Drive" part is. If I remember correctly, the older Heisei Rider logos that used the Showa style font only used it for the "Kamen Rider" part, but the name that came afterwards had a specialised font for that series. But here, even the "Drive" part is in the Showa style! That's awesome! It's an awesome logo!:D

That's basically due to "Dawson's Creek Casting" - Kouta and Kaito are both supposed to be 20, but the actors are in their mid-20s. Ryouma himself is probably around the same age as his actor, since Ryouma is a contemporary of Takatora whose official age on the Gaim site is 26

Gaku Sano's not much older than Kouta. He's 22.
