If this was a Hollywood movie, Retsu would get killed in this movie. Anyone afraid of Retsu getting killed to make way for the new guy?

Unless they pull an Ultra Seven in the Ultra Galaxy movie, making a big deal of his death only for him to turn up later perfectly alive with no explaination.

Seven doesn't work like other Ultras, partly because he wasn't meant to be one, so he isn't dead when his lights go out-he's just in a deathlike coma, able to be revived with some energy given.

Not really true. Take a look at the series averages:

Gavan: 14.9%
Sharivan: 13%
Shaider: 12.5%
Spielban: 11.8%
Juspion: 11.2%

Spielban and Juspion aren't that much worse than Shaider. Also, the "radical changes" didn't really do anything positive for the ratings, at least not right away:

Metalder: 8.2%
Jiraiya: 9.6%
Jiban: 9.1%

The ratings don't rebound back to their old, pre-Spielban levels until Winspector, which pulls at 12.8%. They fall back into Jiban's 9% territory around the time Blue SWAT is airing and remain there for the rest of the franchise.



You should also take into account materials advances. It's much easier to construct a suit that can remain shiny even during stunt sequences with modern materials than it was back in the early 80s. It's also easier to make them light up on command, thanks to LEDs.

But also draewon to go back to the shiny aspect of the suit , you can see in the new trailer that his suit is only shiny when fighting at night or using laser-blado contrary to the vs gokaiger, suit was shiny fo no reason, i dont complain but at times it looks kinda weird... I wanna see if the suit actors have kept the same fighting mannerism as the originals.Im still perplexed as they have crammed sharivan and shaider in there anticipating maybe a little hype after the movie is gone...It took 30 years for them to bring them back knowing that the fan base is on a global base. im curious to see how they will market this? and most importantly,what lies ahead?

I don't know if this already mentioned or not, but the golden masked enemy in the trailer was actually Jumonji's friend who with him in the space shuttle? Is this confirmed or just a speculation?
