Yellow is pretty likely to be the least developed of the main cast, so the one time it probably wouldn't have mattered too much how bad her actress was, we get this ...

I think we'll have to wait for the show before we decide how much or little character development each of them is going to get. We can look at past examples of course, but they've surprised us before.

Maybe, but it's a fair guess. Yasuko Kobayashi tends to leave development of any female characters not named Yuuri until the last arc of the show, plus Yellow Buster is the lone girl on a team of guys (including all the bots)

I am not criticising anything, but saying that the one time we could possibly have got away with an OMGHAWT Yellow that can't really act, people are hating on her for her looks when she could actually be decent. I'm willing to bet that at least the core three human Rangers will be OK. Gokaiger got a main cast that's not terrible and I don't think Toei would choose another Kyousuke Hamao-a-like for a series that's supposed to revive Sentai

I don't see anyone complaining about the character herself (Yellow Buster/Yoko/whatever.) They're just pissed off that she's not their idea of "hot" or they just hate young-looking actors. People will warm up to her when the show starts. When Goseiger's cast was announced everyone was complaining that the girls were hideous hellbeasts compared to the Shinkenger girls, but now Eri and Moune's actresses are beloved regulars at the Henshin Hotties thread

I honestly liked it when people cared more about the story and the concept than they did the fap material/actors

Is it really that hard to enjoy characters that we don't fancy? Seriously? Do people not realise we have porn to get things like that out of our systems?

Seriously, it's a TV show, not pornography, and to be perfectly honest, I'd personally rather them choose actors who have good acting ability over actors who are hot.
Let the character be the character, not a piece of eye-candy, focusing on things like that will just cheapen the show.
