Final Fantasy XV: New Details for Kingsglaive Movie
To go along with the upcoming release of Final Fantasy XV this fall, Sony Pictures and Square Enix are releasing a CG animated feature to coincide with the release, called Kingsglaive: Final Fantasy XV. The new movie arrives on digital VOD on August 30. This will be followed by the Blu-ray and DVD home video release on October 4. Sony Pictures Home Entertainment released the full specs for the upcoming Blu-ray and DVD release. A new trailer also dropped for the film, which is available in the player below.
The film is also slated for a theatrical release in select cities on August 19. The film stars the voice of Aaron Paul, Lena Headey and Sean Bean. The story features King Regis (Bean) in an attempt to save the city of Insomnia from the empire of Niflheim with the help of an elite force of soldiers called the Kingsglaive, who are led by Nyx Ulric (Aaron Paul).
The Blu-ray, DVD and digital release of the film will include four behind-the-scenes featurettes that take that go deep into the production of the film. There’s also a look at the recording sessions for the actors in “A Way with Words: Epic and Intimate Vocals”; viewers see what goes into designing the world of the film in “Fit for The KINGSGLAIVE: Building the World”; the intricate process of capturing the physical, human performances at the heart of the computer-generated film is explored in “To Capture The KINGSGLAIVE: The Process” and; finally, the creation of the film’s score is covered in “Emotive Music: Scoring The KINGSGLAIVE.”
