Fear Street Part Two: 1978 is the second installment of the Fear Street Trilogy
Fear Street Part Two: 1978 is the second installment of the Fear Street Trilogy. Even If RL Stine is known for writing children’s horror. Goosebumps recently have a movie reboot and Are You Afraid of the dark might also get a reboot soon.
He will show his range with this trilogy. Most of the children who followed his books and tv shows are adults now. So he is exploring a more mature approach with giving dread to the audience. Tv Networks limited him from having violence and sex in his stories but Netflix gives him more liberties to cross the line.
This sequel will be out this July 9 on Netflix.
The 1970s is the golden age of Slasher and Video nasties. Setting this story in this decade is very fitting. The Camp Counselors and Campers of Camp Nighting are supposed to enjoy a summer of parties, camping, and sex but they will be running for their lives instead. Camp Counselors will be running for their lives in the tune of “Gloria Gaynor’s I will Survive”. With a Mask serial killer on the loose, This film is a love letter to splatter and slasher films of the 70s. Fans and critics already praised 1994 so 1978 could be a great addition to the series.
This film is like an Analogue to Friday the 13th movies but there will be twists that make it different.
Samantha “Sam” Fraser (Olivia Scott Welch) will be returning, most likely as a narrator who will discover what happened in 1978. So this film will be a sequel and prequel at the same time. How is this going to connect with the first film?
Fear Street Part Three: 1666 will be the final installment of the trilogy. I will be coming this July 16th.
