FEAR STREET PART 1: 1994, An R.L Stine horror Trilogy
FEAR STREET PART 1: 1994 coming to Netflix this July 2
Fear Street Trilogy is coming to Netflix. R.L wrote the stories of this trilogy but it will have a different direction from his past works. His most famous works are Goosebumps and Are You afraid of the Dark? Both franchise became hit anthology series in the 90s but people still buy his works. R.L Stine is popular for making children’s horror but this movie is more mature themed. There will be some sex and violence. That makes this appeal more for teenagers and adults. Fear Street is going to be a three part movie. I notice that the sequels goes backwards in the years of setting. Are these stories related? Is part 2 and 3 going to be prequels because they happened in the past?
FEAR STREET PART 1: 1994 will be the first installment of the collective.
Set in 1994, A group of teens on this movie reminds me a bit of the Midnight society from “Are you Afraid of the dark” Instead of exchanging stories in the Bonfire, they will be facing the horror. What makes this different from past R. L. Stine is the darker and more mature themes. I heard profanity from the characters which is different from the wholesome kid friendly horror Stine is known for. It is also going to have LGBT representation. It’s main characters Deena(Kiana Madeira) and Samantha(Olivia Scott Welch) is a couple. R.L Stine finally lets lose because he doesn’t have to deal with TV age ratings when it comes to Netflix. He is given more liberties than what Network television gave him before.
FEAR STREET PART 1: 1994 focuses on a group of teens who notice that a series of murders happened in their hometown. All of these Bloodshed are caused by an ancient evil that plagues their town for three centuries.
