The game’s official name is Zero: Nuregarasu no Miko, which translates to Fatal Frame: The Black Haired Shrine Maiden, according to Siliconera. Yuri Kozukata will be the protagonist, and according to Tecmo Koei producer Keisuke Kikuchi, she will have an ability which enables her to see the truth or “secrets” behind every item she touches.
The game will be set in Hikamiyama, an area filled with mountains, lakes, and graves. According to Kikuchi, we’ll be seeing a lot of damp areas and ghosts.
The Wii U GamePad will also be utilized. You will be able to use the GamePad as a camera to see things in the game you can’t see on your TV screen. You will also be able to fight off enemies using the GamePad, but Tecmo Koei did not elaborate further.
We’re hoping Nintendo will bring Fatal Frame to the west, but for now, it will only be coming to the Wii U in Japan.
