Fallout 3: Free Offer With Fallout 4 Purchase Expires in February
Microsoft previously revealed to gamers at E3 last June that anyone who purchases a new copy of Fallout 4 for Xbox One will receive a free copy of Fallout 3 for Xbox 360. Now, Gamespot has discovered that the offer has an expiration date in February 2016. The Xbox.com website notes that the offer has a limited time of which its available, but the exact date was previously unknown.
The deal is that all those who buy Fallout 4 for Xbox One will receive a digital download code for Fallout 3. The good news is that Fallout 3 will soon be one of the backwards compatible games for the Xbox 360, which will be starting soon. The code for Fallout 3 should be delivered around 7-10 days after purchasing Fallout 4.
The expiration date for the offer was discovered on the Fallout 4 product page, which reads that the offer to get a free copy of Fallout 3 ends on February 6, 2016. There will be over a 100-plus Xbox 360 games that going to be backwards compatible for the Xbox One once that feature arrives with the new Xbox One Experience update, which launches later this week on November 12. Microsoft is set to reveal all the backwards compatible titles tomorrow (Nov. 9).
Fallout 4 will arrive on Tuesday, November 10. The game will be available for Windows PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
