EA Sports UFC 2 got a really nice endorsement and promotional push from the one and only Conan O’Brien on this week’s Conan. During a segment of Clueless Gamer, Conan O’Brien played some of the new MMA game with UFC featherweight champion and superstar Conor McGregor. You can check out the video of the segment below. Along with being the champion, and one of the top stars in the sport, McGregor shares the cover alongside former women’s bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey.
The TV show appearance was a nice win for McGregor, who had a bad weekend at UFC 196. McGregor suffered the first loss of his UFC career, losing by submission in the second round to Nate Diaz. It was a last-minute replacement match-up after his original match with Rafael dos Anjos was cancelled because Dos Anjos was injured.
In other news for EA Sports UFC 2, UFC fans can actually get started on the game early. EA Sports announced that the game is now playable on EA Access for EA Access members. It’s only playable for up to 10 hours with the Play First Trial. However, it does grant access to every feature, mode title chase and the roster’s 250 fighters. The good news is that all the progress from the EA Access trial will carry over to the full game. EA Access members also receive a 10 percent discount on those who purchase the digital copies of the game through Xbox Live.
EA Sports UFC 2 launches on March 15 for Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
