Every game Bandai Namco plans to show off on the E3 floor, and probably in a few press conferences, was revealed this afternoon via a huge leak. It sounds bad, but when you think about it, managing to hold off the ravenous press until ONE DAY before the festivities begin is quite impressive. What difference do a few hours make, anyway?
First comes a welcome reprint of Ni No Kuni: Wrath Of The White Witch. Playstation 4, XBox One and PC will get a “Remastered” version of the game while the Nintendo Switch will get the game without that word. What’s the main difference? 4K support, we hear.
Next comes Elden Ring, developed by FromSoftware and a co-production between Dark Souls creator Hidetaka Miyazaki and bearded lazy author George R.R. Martin. Rumors were flying about George’s involvement in a video game; this appears to be it. The game is on the way to PlayStation 4, Windows PC, and Xbox One.
Most surprising, at least to us, is the reveal of a new Tales game, Tales of Arise, with substantially improved visuals. This series is known for its simpler anime-inspired graphics, and if these shots are real it means we could be in for something very different, even if the plot description sounds typical:
On the planet Dahna, reverence has always been given to Rena, the planet in the sky, as a land of the righteous and divine. Stories handed down for generations became truth and masked reality for the people of Dahna. For 300 years, Rena has ruled over Dahna, pillaging the planet of its resources and stripping people of their dignity and freedom. Our tale begins with two people, born on different worlds, each looking to change their fate and create a new future.
More on these games as details are officially unveiled.
