Kingdom Hearts III is easily one of the most anticipated games in recent memory, especially since its reveal at E3 a few years back. A trailer was shown off at the special orchestra event in Japan recently, but now, for E3, it’s been revealed to the world at large. Here’s the official synopsis of the trailer:
“In this action-packed trailer, Sora, Donald Duck and Goofy help Hercules battle various forms of Heartless on Mount Olympus through gorgeous visuals and gameplay. Fans will see Sora in a new form, which allows him to perform special powerful solo and joint attacks on his enemies. A new glimpse into the game’s storyline reveals a reunion with Disney villains Hades, Maleficent and Pete as they discuss the location of a mysterious item while Sora is faced with a dilemma in an effort to bring back an old friend.”
This trailer confirms a lot, including us going to Mount Olympus, Hercules being a true team member (he’s been in past games but not as a team member in the main titles), the continuation of Maleficent and Pete’s story from recent games, and Sora wanting to bring back Roxas, and going to Twilight Town to face Xemnas and Ansem in the process.
Apparently, the next trailer we see (barring a surprise at E3 this week) is coming July 15 at the D23 expo.
