E3 2017: Coco Is Playable for All of Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy
This week at E3 2017, Activision dropped some more exciting news for Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy. Specifically, Crash’s sister, Coco, will be a playable character for all three games of the trilogy. Additionally, fans can play as Coco in a gameplay demo this week at E3 this week.
Players will be able to select Crash or Coco in all three of the Crash games that are included for the Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy compilation. The release includes the original Crash Bandicoot, Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back, and Crash Bandicoot 3: Warped.
In the remastered version, Coco takes the Time Twister in order to travel back in time to help Crash with his previous adventures. She’s fully playable across all three games. Additionally, fans can switch between playing as either character. Both have an N. Sane set of special attacks as well, which each have their own unique style. Coco will do a double leg drop, where Crash will do his body slam. Coco also has her own set of idle moves like Crash does.
Speaking on the news, Vicarious Visions studio head Jennifer Oneal stated in a press release, “We are so excited to give players the ability to play as Coco in all three games in the Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy. She’s not just Crash’s little sister, she is a force to be reckoned with. Our vision was to create a modern Coco for Crash fans and newcomers, and we think they’re going to love playing as her.”
Naught Dog President Evan Wells added: “Activision recently left a nearly complete build of the remastered Crash trilogy at Naughty Dog, and I’ve played all three games. Vicarious Visions took amazing care in maintaining the feel and soul of the originals but brought the visuals up to modern day standards and added a number of new features that’s made them even more fun to play than remembered.”
Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy arrives on June 30. The game will be available for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 4 Pro.
