E3 2016: Bethesda Admit Fallout 4 Dialogue Failings
At E3, Fallout 4 Director Todd Howard noted in an interview with Gamespot that though they did some really good things in Fallout 4, they also failed in other aspects. Mainly, as noted by fans, was the dialogue system. Which despite being done in 2 years via the voice actors, didn’t really live up to the hype.
“Obviously, the way we did some dialogue stuff, that didn’t work as well,” he said.
Despite its failings, Bethesda is learning from it, and taking feedback from the gamers and “think[ing] long-term” with it. Howard said these things aren’t just “one-off, meaning Fallout 4 comes out and then we forget about it.” It’s an ongoing thing, and player feedback is “really, really helpful.”
