E3 2013 -Xbox One Releases This November, Costs $499
The Xbox One will Launch this November across 22 countries Microsoft has today announced. The countries confirmed were North America, the UK and European areas. Pricing was also announced the Xbox one will cost $499 in the US, £429 in the UK and €499 in the rest of Europe.
$499 is towards the top end of the price range many have said they would pay, and it certainly seems pricey but think back to the “599 US dollars ” incident and it seems a lot more reasonable. However the UK price of £429 is £4 more than the price which the PS3 launched at in 2007. Also just for a comparison: $499 currently transfers into around £320 meaning UK gamers will be paying over £100 more for the Xbox One than their US counterparts.
The general reaction across the internet is that the price is too high, but many are saying they are prepared to pay such a large amount based on the games shown at the conference.
Sony is yet to announce a date or price but now we may well see this at their press conference later today.

Too high? I don’t know a single gamer who honestly believed these next gen consoles would be a dime under $500.

After seeing Sony’s conference I recall my statement and apologize.
$100 cheaper and no DRM? Sony is going to murder Xbox.

I was already going Sony based on features I wanted. I have to say that I would pay an extra hundred for the no DRM, because I’ll make my money back anyways, lol.
