Dying Light: New "A Prophecy Incarnated" Trailer
The time for the next major expansion for the first-person zombie survival game, Dying Light, is just around the corner. Next month, Techland drops the new expansion for the game, The Following. However, today Techland revealed a new story trailer for the game which teases some new characters for the expansion and new areas to explore. You can check out the new trailer, “A Prophecy Incarnated,” below.
This trailer really pushes the cult angle that Kyle Crane will be dealing with in The Following expansion. There will be another new sandbox area to explore as well. This cult seems to worship some sort of savior or messiah. But is Kyle Crane this world’s proverbial messiah? In the previously released story teaser, Crane has to set out on a journey after he meets a mysterious and delirious survivor who has a map that hints of a way out of Harran and a potential cure without the Antizen. What Crane finds might not exactly be what he’s looking for.
According to Dying Light’s producer, The Following will have a lot more in common with beloved genre shows, the X-Files and Twin Peaks, both of which combined elements of sci-fi, the supernatural, drama and horror. Speaking on the new expansion, producer Tymon Smektala stated: “In the expansion, we’re aiming for a bit of a different mood to the story. We all love some old good mystery, whether it’s X-Files or Twin Peaks, so that’s an element we’re introducing to our world in Dying Light: The Following.”
Dying Light: The Following is set for a February 9, 2016 release for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Windows PC. The expansion will be available as an individual digital download for $19.99 or as part of the Dying Light Season Pass. New players can also play the expansion as part of the Dying Light: The Following – Enhanced Edition, which includes the original game, The Following expansion and all the other DLC and updates for the game.
