Dragon Age Inquisition: New DLC and More Revealed at PAX Prime
Electronic Arts made an official announcement on some new additions coming to Dragon Age: Inquisition yesterday (August 29) at PAX Prime. The next upcoming patch for the game on Xbox One, PS4 and Windows PC includes some new treats along with some fixes. This will also mark the final patch from EA for Dragon Age Inquisition.
First up is the Golden Nug. This feature allows players to “sync” collectibles across games after they have completed Dragon Age: Inquisition’s main story campaign. In order to take advantage of this, players should go to the Skyhold Undercroft post-game and click the new Golden Nug statue. Once that is done, every game that’s both a) online and b) on the same platform will have a similar statue added to the Undercroft and Haven. Clicking on that statue will sync your current game. According to EA, this sync is bi-directional and additive, which means that any collectibles will be added to the online collection, even if the character doing the clicking is pre-endgame.
This will allow players to take advantage of their collection without restarting a game already in progress. In addition, each character that participates adds to your collection. The new sync will include crafting schematics, potion recipes, mounts and Skyhold decorations. This includes ones acquired in previously installed DLC packs.
Next up is the new wardrobe feature for Skyhold. Skyhold will be pre-loaded with a dozen outfits of varying colors. The default color beige will still be available. The wardrobe is available in your bedroom once the patch launches.
Finally, EA revealed Trespasser, which is the final DLC for Inquisition. This will act as an epilogue for the game, something EA has never tried before with the franchise. It is set two years after the main game, and the story will explore what it’s like to be a world-saving organization when the world no longer needs saving. It will offer players the chance to meet and talk with old friends, to uncover a new threat and decide the fate of the Inquisition you worked so hard to build. Trespasser will also contain hints about the future of Thedas.
All the patch content will be added for free. In order to play Tresspasser, players will need a character that has completed Dragon Age Inquisition’s main storyline. The final patch launches on September 8.
