Doctor Strange’s First Trailer Debuts Online
ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel Live! debuted the first teaser trailer for Marvel’s next upcoming feature after Captain America: Civil War in Doctor Strange. The long-awaited live-action film adaptation of Marvel’s Sorcerer Supreme arrives in theaters later this year. But you can check out the first look for the film and Benedict Cumberbatch as Doctor Stephen Strange in the player below.
The trailer features glimpses of Doctor Strange’s origins, a wealthy surgeon who’s hands became gravely injured in an accident, which prevented him to continue on as a doctor of medicine. There’s also a glimpse of Tilda Swinton, who provides the narration for the trailer, as Doctor Strange’s mentor, The Ancient One. The visuals for the supernatural, magic world of Doctor Strange look very weird and trippy. The very end of the trailer also has a fantastic shot showing a rear glimpse of Cumberbatch in his full costume, but you can only see his flowing cape from behind. But he’s walking up the steps of what appears to be the Sanctum Sanctorum. For those who are wondering, that’s basically Doctor Strange’s Batcave.
Marvel’s Doctor Strange debuts in theaters on November 4. You can also check out a new poster image (Courtesy of Walt Disney Studios and Marvel) below.
