When we previously checked in to the status of Indiana Jones 5, it had been taken off Disney’s release schedule completely due to a rework of the script. Unhappy with the current version, the Mouse pulled in Jonathan Kasdan (son of the scriptwriter to the original Raiders film, Lawrence Kasdan) to punch it up.

Kasdan Jr. has done his punching, so now Disney feels confident enough to place Indy 5 back on the schedule — but due to the delay, it’ll be sent back an entire YEAR. Originally slated for July 10, 2020, it’s now coming out on July 9, 2021. Meanwhile, Harrison Ford isn’t getting any younger.

This delay has caused Disney’s entire schedule to be reshuffled. Some of the changes are minor (Mary Poppins Returns is moving from December 25, 2018 to December 19). Some movies have been bumped up by months (the unnecessary Jungle Cruise movie has moved to October 11, 2019). Two untitled, unrevealed movies that were set for November 8, 2019 and February 21, 2021 have been removed entirely.

Several unrevealed Marvel movies have also been shuffled around, but we won’t know the difference since we know nothing about them.
