Disney And Marvel Delay Just About Everything
They have yet to offer an explanation, but the folks at The Walt Disney Company have delayed their upcoming Marvel movie Doctor Strange and the Mountain of Madness by two months. Previously meant for March 25, 2022, it’s now slotted for May 6, 2022. And every time they move one of these things around, it means the movie that was already taking up that slot has to move down itself, and the one after it, and on and on like a stack of dominoes.
So here’s where everything fell:
Thor: Love And Thunder
Previously meant for the spot Doctor Strange is taking, it will now premiere July 8, 2022.
Black Panther: Wakanda Forever
Thor now has Black Panther 2’s spot, so THAT movie has been pushed to November 11, 2022.
Indiana Jones 5
Harrison Ford continues to age, and the production of this movie continues to be delayed. I’m still hoping they’ll realize what a bad idea it is, but….cash being waved in your face deadens good judgment. Meant for July 29, 2022, now shoved back a year to June 30, 2023.
The Marvels
Black Panther 2 is now taking its slot so it’s being moved to February 17, 2023.
Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania
Boy will you have to wait for this one…it won’t premiere until July 28, 2023 now. It’s also meant to be the big-screen debut of Kang the Conqueror, which means the second season of Loki will happen before this does.
In addition, Disney has removed three unannounced movies from its schedule entirely. Only they know what the movies are and if they will be made eventually at all.
