Devil May Cry 4 Special Edition Details and New Trailer Revealed
Capcom announced new details for the upcoming Special Edition of Devil May Cry 4. The next-gen version of the game is scheduled as a digital download release in summer 2015. Devil May Cry 4 Special Edition will feature the original 2008 release and three new playable characters along with the new Legendary Dark Knight Mode, which is set to feature some new gameplay improvements. The new playable characters for the updated version of the game include Dante’s Twin brother Vergil, the mysterious Trish and the demon hunter Lady, giving the game a total of five playable characters. This marks the largest roster of playable characters for any game in the Devil May Cry franchise to date.
The new special edition will also feature the Legendary Dark Knight Mode, originally introduced for the PC release . Now console players will be able to face hordes of enemies and have their combat skills put to the test. In this gameplay mode, hordes of enemies spawn in greater numbers and with more strength and vitality. As a result, players will be able ot execute longer, more extreme combos.
Per Capcom’s announcement, Devil May Cry 4 Special Edition will feature 1080p resolution and will run at 60fps. Game improvements have also been made to tempo and balancing. Other new features include new costumes and skins that will be compatible with in-game cutscenes.
Devil May 4 introduced the new character Nero, a young knight of the Order, who revere the demon warrior Sparda as their god and committed to the extermination of all demons. Nero is tasked with finding Dante, the son of Sparda, for murdering the head of the Order of the Sword. However, more demons are starting to appear throughout the city. Nero soon uncovers the motives behind Dante’s actions and the truth behind the Order of the Sword.
