Deus Ex Mankind Divided Announcement Trailer Released Online
As The Paranoid Gamer reported yesterday, Eidos Montreal is developing the next installment of the Deus Ex franchise with Deus Ex Mankind Divided. Now the official announcement trailer for the game. You can check out the first video for Deus Ex Mankind Divided int he player below.
The new sequel will take place two years after the events of Deus Ex: Human Revolution. The story follows the aftermath of the Aug Incident, a day where cybernetically augmented citizens had the control over their minds and bodies stripped away. The incident resulted in the deaths of millions of innocent lives. In 2029, the golden age of augmentations is over, and augmented humans have become outcasts who are segregated from the rest of society. Crime and acts of terror are serving a veil to cover up a deep conspiracy that seeks to control the future of the human race.
The video features a lot of new CG cinematic footage. The conflict between humans and cyborgs appears to be a powder keg that is about to go up. In the middle of it is Adam Jensen, back from Human Revolution, who looks to be uncovering a conspiracy enacted by the Illuminati along with preventing future terrorist attacks from the radical augmented human dissidents. One imagines in the game you can ultimately decide what side of the conflict you want to fall on.
Deus Ex Mankind Divided is being developed for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Windows PC. Release details will come out for the game later on.
