Destiny Beta and Collectors Edition Details
Ladies and Gentlemen, prepare yourselves – Destiny Beta and Collectors Edition details have been revealed by Bungie and Activision. In two official posts on the Bungie.net blog, a whole stack of information relating the forthcoming Destiny Beta has been given alongside images and information of the finally confirmed Collectors Editions.
Regarding the Destiny Beta, here’s the official trailer;
Showcasing some of the praise that Destiny has already received, the trailer gives us a sneak preview of what we’re likely to access during the Beta, which kicks off in 10 days time on July 17. As well as some of the customization options, online multiplayer and a co-operative strike mission, the trailer clearly shows off a snowy terrain, which means anyone who accesses the Beta will be able to witness a new locale – possibly the same one shown in the recent panoramic images.
Bungie has also kindly provided a timeline for the Destiny Beta, which can be seen below, and covers the launch dates and maintenance. The PS3 and PS4 Destiny Beta will open on July 17, whilst Xbox owners will need to wait until July 23 on both Xbox One and Xbox 360. Both Betas will close on the same date, July 27.
There’s also an FAQ covering a number of topics regarding the Beta on the Destiny Beta blog over at Bungie.
