Dermot Mulroney Will Star In Trick
Film Bridge International and Revek Entertainment announced the development today of Trick, a horror thriller with Dermot Mulroney cast as the main character.
What’s the trick? It’s not a what, but a who. Mulroney isn’t playing “Trick,” but Detective Mike Denver, the man who’s after him. Trick is the nickname for an elusive serial killer who’s terrorized small American towns for far too long. Each year Trick picks a different area and does his psychotic thing. And he gets away with it because the police never realize it’s actually him.
Why does Denver think he stands a chance? Because he already killed Trick! Or…at least he thought he did. Denver doubts Trick was truly done in that night, though, and he’s got to track the killer down first before Trick finds HIM — and exacts revenge.
Trick will be directed by Patrick Lussier (My Bloody Valentine, Drive Angry, Terminator: Genisys) and written by Lussier and Todd Farmer. “After much discussion with Director Lussier, Dermot was the only choice for this role and we are ecstatic that he was able to take on the project.” says Ellen Wander, CEO of Film Bridge.
That’s all we know at the moment — the film was only just announced, and has not been filmed. But when we know more about Trick, we’ll pass on the info. In the meantime, here are more details from the press release….
