Demon Slayer: Entertainment District Arc Begins December 5
Good news, folks…Tanjiro, Nezuko, Zenitsu, and Inosuke finally got that whole Mugen Train problem resolved. It only took an entire feature film to do so. Now they’re at last ready to journey on, and fresh episodes of the Demon Slayer series are about to start airing.
The trailer that Funimation provided below weirdly doesn’t have any clips from the upcoming episodes of the show. Presumably they would be animated in their entirety by now (unless they’re really working overtime) but all this really is…is a chop-up of the promotional artwork. In fact it’s the same trailer they sent us six months ago when US distribution was officially announced. But all you really need to know is that within the Entertainment District, Tanjiro will have to contend with a new demon named Daki.
Demon Slayer tells the story of Tanjiro, a young man who has aspirations of being the titular Slayer of Demons…an occupation that gets a lot of business in his neck of the woods. Demons are lurking everywhere, and they’re hungry for humans. It turns out, though, that Tanjiro has to grow up quicker than he figured he would, as he returns home one day to find his entire family done in by demons. Only his sister survived, and having been bit by a demon, she’s turned half-demon herself. Thus begins Tanjiro’s quest for revenge as well as a possible cure for his sister.
The first episode of Demon Slayer’s Entertainment District arc, which will be an hour long, becomes available on both the Funimation app and Crunchyroll starting Sunday, December 5 at 10:45 AM Eastern / 7:45 AM Pacific.
