Deep Water, Former lovers Ben Affleck and Ana De Armas portrays an Unhappy couple!

Deep Water is an upcoming psychological thriller starring Ben Affleck, who has crossed this territory before with Gone Girl. This time, Affleck will be the one who is cheated on, but he will not be a victim.

Patricia Highsmith’s novel got adapted into this dark and erotic picture. For a year, Ben Affleck and Ana De Armas dated. So kudos to them for being professionals and working together in a movie. Maybe the tension and resentment they project from their actions are genuine.

Deep Water is directed by Adrian Lyne, known for films like Unfaithful, which are about infidelity. Lyne’s fans waited two decades to see another movie from the well-acclaimed director. In the 1980s, Deep Water adapted into a French film titled Eaux profondes. Now, this forgotten American novel returns home.

Vic (Ben Affleck) and Melinda Van Allen(Ana de Armas) live in the small village of Little Wesley with their two children. The Van Allen’s appear to be a cheerful bunch. But they suffer from a loveless marriage.

They are only together still because they have an open marriage. Vic allows Melinda to have a variety of partners. With the condition that they stay together for the kids. He chose not to go through a nasty divorce to preserve his reputation. Some people don’t care about living miserably as long as they keep their reputation clean because they care about what society says.

Vic becomes obsessed with the unsolved death of Melinda’s old lover, Malcolm McRae, and claims credit for the killing to drive away from her current boyfriend effectively. The neighbours believed that Vic just had a sick sense of humour.
Deep Water will premiere on Hulu on March 18, 2022. When some of Melinda’s lovers vanish without a trace, things will get a lot darker. One by one, they were never seen ever again.
