Death Drop Gorgeous Premieres September 10
Filmmaker John Waters was a pioneer, not just for his cinematography and demented ideas, but because he worked with queer themes that wouldn’t be commonplace in Hollywood for at least a generation. Death Drop Gorgeous is a new slice of indie horror intended as a giant tribute to the works of Waters.
It’s dangerous on the streets at night lately…victims are showing up not just murdered but with their blood drained. There’s a vampire skulking about, and curiously, it’s a Drac that only fancies Drag — he exclusively drinks gay blood. A down-on-his-luck bartender and an aging drag queen decide they have to do something and team up to catch the vampire…but they don’t have much experience with this kind of thing. If they don’t nail their stake aim first try, they could be the next victims!
Death Drop Gorgeous has just come off the festival circuit, playing at over 20 different locations including Seattle Queer, Chicago Horror, Wicked Queer, VideoScream and others. Next month it’ll be available for home viewing and will play in a handful of theaters too. The film stars Wayne Gonsalves, Payton St. James, Brandon Perras-Sanchez, and Christopher Dalpe, and was directde by Michael J. Ahern, Christopher Dalpe and Perras-Sanchez.
Look for Death Drop Gorgeous, distributed by Dark Star Pictures, September 10 on VOD.
