It’s good to be a Merc With A Mouth. On its third weekend of release, Deadpool has once again shot and cursed his way to the top. It’s competition this week was Gods of Egypt, and although it did nap the No.2 spot, it did so with a poultry $14 million dollars. Which is reportedly a tenth of what it cost to make. Because of this, Gods of Egypt will likely be the first major flop of 2016.
Deadpool on the other hand continues to soar, with it’s $31.5 million dollar third weekend, it has made $285.6 million in the US, and it’s worldwide total is $609.8 million. Currently, it’s No.3 on the all-time grossings for R-rated films behind The Passion of the Christ and American Sniper.
Fox revealed that there will be two more of its Marvel films coming to its schedule that wasn’t previously announced. One in 2017, and one in 2018. It’s incredibly likely that Deadpool 2 will be on of those films, but only time will tell which date it will get.
