After adding every popular horror villain under the sun, the asymmetrical multiplayer horror game Dead By Daylight is heading back to its roots and sticking with original characters for a while (the temporary nature of some of those licenses may have something to do with it). Portrait Of A Murder, the new update announced today, will be the first in a while to add both a new Survivor and a new Killer at the same time, plus a new map.
This new Killer has one of the darker backstories DBD has spun: Carmina Mora, also known as the Artist, once used her paintings to call awareness to local corruption, until the ones doing the corrupting found out and sent men to have her mutilated and dumped in the graveyard. Instead of dying, she was saved by a murder of crows who became her allies. She was also discovered by the Entity around this time and recruited by him into an existence of endless vengeance. The Artist now trusts crows far more than people and will slay any humans in her sight.
We’re gonna need an ally with serious skills to deal with her. Enter Jonah Vasquez, CIA agent and the latest Survivor. Jonah has been seeing the same numbers everywhere, and his investigation led him down to being trapped in the Entity’s Realm. The new map, The Forsaken Boneyard, is the location of Carmina’s near-murder and the place she haunts now. Playing as Jonah (or anyone else), can you avoid the grasp of The Artist?
Portrait Of A Murder will be released later this month for Dead By Daylight. The game is available now for consoles and PC via Steam, and is coming to the Epic Games Store next month.
Irish game studio Error300 will soon present the city-building sim Welcome To My Cave on mobile platforms. What’s the twist with this one? You’re building up the very first city ever. You play the young, new, inexperienced chief of a prehistoric tribe. You just inherited the position from your father
You may have played a citizen of a city, and you may have played as the mayor / god of a city, but you’ve never played AS a city. Developer Dream Harvest’s upcoming NeuroNet casts you as the all-present artificial intelligence that governs the futuristic city of Catena. And thanks
