Dark Souls III Season Pass Confirmed
It looks like Dark Souls III will be getting an official Season Pass. The Dark Souls III Season Pass is now being listed on the Xbox Live Marketplace and Steam, and players can pre-order both there. From Software and Bandai Namco Games have not released any official details yet on DLC or the content for the Season Pass, but this is the first indication of what will be coming.
Based on the Xbox Live Marketplace, the Season Pass for the game will feature “two epic DLC packs at a discounted price.” This will include new maps for the game, new boss encounters, new enemies to fight, additional weapons and also armor sets. So players will have to wait for more specifics on what they will be getting from the Season Pass later on.
The price for the Season Pass has also been confirmed at $24.99. Why one would also pre-order a Season Pass also seems strange. For one to pre-order a Season Pass, there should be some sort of bonus or incentive of doing so, right? For example, a Season Pass is DLC, and that’s not really going to sell out. So there’s no risk of waiting pre-order it and not getting it. Ultimately, it’s up to the players if a Season Pass for the game is worth that type of price. At least it’s not as high as the $40 price for the Batman: Arkham Knight Season Pass, which was quite steep.
The wait for the next installment of the Dark Souls franchise is nearly over. Dark Souls III arrives on April 12 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Windows PC.
