Daniel Craig Wants To Still Be James Bond
James Bond is the most successful movie franchise in history, as it’s had 24 films with billions made. The last two alone in Spectre and Skyfall were massive hits at the box office.
Despite this, there seems to be some conflicting words coming from the man playing Bond currently, Daniel Craig. He’s been well documented as saying he didn’t want to be Bond again. Even saying so during the filming of Spectre. Yet, in a recent interview with Vulture, his heart has seemed to have changed. He even joked about how he said he’d rather “slash his wrists” than be Bond again:
“They say that s*** sticks, and that definitely stuck. It was the day after filming [stopped on Spectre]. I’d been away from home for a year. Boo-hoo. It’s a good gig. I enjoy it.”
He went on,
“As far as I’m concerned, I’ve got the best job in the world. I’ll keep doing it as long as I still get a kick out of it. If I were to stop doing it, I would miss it terribly.”
Interestingly enough, the studio behind the James Bond films seem to be of the same mind. As apparently they’re offering upwards of $200 million for him to stay on for two more films. We’ll just have to see if that sticks.
