DAHMER – Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story
DAHMER – Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story is a true crime mini-series drama. It is about the infamous serial killer. I hope this series will not lead to Dahmer having fans because the Ted Bundy story starring Zach Efron gave the serial killer a legion of fangirls who like him because they find him attractive. This show is not the first adaptation of his life. In 2017, The movie My Friend Dahmer portrayed him in a more sympathetic light.
DAHMER – Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story will focus on the perspective of his victims before their lives were taken.
Jeffrey Dahmer is named the Milwaukee Cannibal because he consumed his victim’s corpses. He killed over 17 victims because of his weird sex fetish.
His usual victims are gay men cruising for a one-night stand. He kills them so they won’t leave because he wants to have sexual relations with their corpse, then consumes them.
DAHMER – Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story
Evan Peters got cast to play the serial killer, and he captures his menacing presence. So even if there is less focus on him, I can see that his acting chops will shine in this series.
The series will show how the victims meet the killer leading to their demise. Most Serial killer biopics disturbing glorifies them, but this one will try to focus on the victims. We will see the incompetence of the police, who struggle to capture the cannibal from his killing spree.
Five years ago, Dahmer’s parents agreed to have the interview. They want to share the cautionary tale that they never notice there is something wrong with their son. He was not raised from abuse or neglect, so it was a shock for both of them to find out their son has blood lust. Mental Health is not yet taken seriously back then.
DAHMER – Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story is coming to Netflix this September 21, 2022.
