Could Mortal Kombat X Get Story DLC?
With the release of Mortal Kombat X, many are now enjoying the simple pleasures of ripping apart their opponents, doing devastating Fatalities, and enjoying characters both new and old. The game has already had a bunch of DLC already released, chief among them the Kombat Pack, where you can get Jason Vorhees, Preadtor, and more in the game as playable characters.
But as many a fan have noticed, there are many “standard” Mortal Kombat characters that appeared in game, but did not become playable. For example…Fujin, Kabal, Stryker, Sindel, Rain, Smoke, Bo’ Rai Cho, Frost, Sareena, Li Mei and Baraka.
Some fans have actually taken the liberty to mod the PC version of Mortal Kombat X to bring some of these characters to life in game. Others though, have simply asked if they’ll be added into the game and story through DLC. Ed Boon responded with this tweet:
“@LazyEyedJ @noobde So Ed are you secretly gonna patch in the NPC’s from story to make them playable? EB: U mean like a “Story Pack” ?
The key word here may just be “Story Pack”, as it references those characters who were in the story, but weren’t playable. Notice though, he doesn’t give any other details other than “posing” the question. So you could take this as his musings. But, if it were to happen, many fans would happily get it I’m sure.
