There have been a lot of additional costumes added to Super Mario Maker over the last six months, most of which have been distributed as prizes for completing the featured level of the week. For the most part said costumes have been heavily targeted at the Japanese market, and the next two are no exception…but boy, are they overdue.
The sheer insanity of being able to make a Super Mario level where you control Hello Kitty instead — officially — is blowing my mind right now. That’s what we’re getting later this week, as a partnership with Sanrio introduces the famously merchandisable cat to Mario Maker along with another Sanrio property, My Melody.
