Closed Beta For iOS Version Of Gwent Begins Next Week
Good news for those with Apple devices….Gwent is coming to Apple stuff! An iOS version of the game is now in development, and you could start playing as early as next week.
Registration for the iOS version of Gwent is open as we speak, and all you need is a GOG.com account to sign up. The coolest part is that your progress from the PC version will carry over, and vice-versa (no word on the console versions). But access will be granted on a first-come, first-serve basis and there are a limited number of open slots…so if you want this, don’t dawdle. The closed beta begins October 15.
Gwent is the card game from The Witcher series that was spun off into its own separate game. It recently received its third expansion, Iron Judgment, which added 80 new cards across Gwent’s playable factions, as well as throwing in several new gameplay mechanics, including Armor (which protects units from damage), Defender (which fortifies a player’s ranks), and the keywords Barricade and Rxposed, which produce different tactical scenarios depending on your unit’s current Armor status. The ability was also added to use King Radovid V as the leader of the Northern Realms faction.
Gwent is available now on PC, Playstation 4, XBox One, and soon, iOS.
