Clifford the Big Red Dog goes live action
Clifford the Big Red Dog trailer is now out in the tune of BTS’ Dynamite.
Clifford the Big Red Dog finally have a live action movie. This franchise is based from a series of children’s books. The Technology to make big realistic CGI dog is not yet available back then. So it is an astonishing treat to see this childhood nostalgia character in live action. Norman Bridwell wrote this timeless series back in 1963. It spawned multiple books and a two season cartoon series back in the early 2000s.
It is sad that he never gets to see this movie because he passed away back in 2014. I am sure that his family though is very proud that his work is now a motion picture. At least, he get to see Clifford got adapted into an animated cgi film back in 2004.
Emily Elizabeth (Darby Camp) is a lonely 8 year old who lives with her Uncle Casey (Jack Whitehall) On a pet store she purchased a red puppy and she named him Clifford.(David Alan Grier) She ask the store owner how big this puppy will be. The store owner answered “Depends on how much you love him.” That is way too much love. This teaser 7 months ago shows his size difference to other dog breeds. Even large breeds like Saint Bernards looks like chihuahuas next to him.
Clifford is a very sweet dog, who means no harm but his size can be a nuisance for some people. That aspect adds a lot of humor. In the trailer, he can be scary because he almost swallowed a pug by accident.
I use to have a labrador retriever and Clifford’s playful behavior reminds me of one. Emily Elizabeth and her big red dog will have adventures together. Clifford the Big Red Dog, will be coming to theaters coming to theaters this September 17, 2021.
