Checking Out the New Assassin’s Creed 3 Interactive Trailer
Just a few hours ago, Ubisoft uploaded an interactive teaser trailer for the only-a-week-away Assassin’s Creed III. Click here to get your Connor on and see a bit more of what to expect when it launches next Tuesday.
And if for some odd, personal reason, you simply don’t wish to click that link – well, here’s a trailer that was made for the trailer (a little redundant, I know…)
Graphically and control-wise, there’s not much change to be noted from the past two Assassin’s Creed games; however, this far away from launch, after a barrage of trailers and commercials, pretty much everyone has already figured that tidbit out.
However, the large battlefield scenario is a decent switchup, and a look at some of the new weapons in action, is worthy of some appreciation. I’ve officially decided I’m going to (over and ab)use that rope dart until it’s dead; if it’s possible to go through the entire game using only that, well, now you know who’s going to do so.
As with most trailers, tailored camera angles and action cuts only offer a one-sided view of what game play will actually be like. But, these moments of potential action, the immense numbers of soldiers, and Prescott (I presume) roaring to his troops and sending shivers down your spine… well, it’s promising at least some change in Ubisoft’s “Vatican Figures x Awesome City-Scapes + Rambunctious Rebel Italians = Assassin’s Creed” formulaic approach. Furthermore, it’s offering a glimpse at what could be an amazing atmosphere to a great game.
