Check Out This Ocarina Of Time Soundtrack Vinyl
The number of classic video game soundtracks you can collect on the 20th century’s most popular music format is growing. Soon you’ll be able to add Zelda to the list when Hero of Time, a new recording of the Ocarina of Time soundtrack by a 64-piece orchestra, is released by iam8bit.
The geek-friendly merchandiser is teaming up with Materia Collective to record a rendition of Ocarina’s melodies by the 64-piece Slovak National Symphony Orchestra, live at Studio 1 in Bratislava, Slovakia. The music will be arranged and composed by Eric Buchholz. It will be a two-record album colored in the fashion of green and purple rupees, encased inside a cover with a die cut Ocarina window in the middle. Artwork by artist Ryan Brinkerhoff will decorate the gatefold. iam8bit and Materia previously collaborated on an orchestral vinyl soundtrack for Undertale.
Materia Collective will be handling the digital distribution of the product, so if you’re not a vinyl collector, there will be other ways to hear this concert. Pricing for the digital version isn’t been revealed, but the record will cost $40 and ship sometime this spring.
