Charles Dance Speaks on Joining The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt in New Featurette
CD Projekt Red has released a new behind-the-scenes featurette for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt featuring one of the most exciting additions to the cast for the highly anticipated sequel in Charles Dance. Dance was a part of the hit series Game of Thrones in the role of the treacherous Tywin Lannister. More recently he appeared in the films Dracula Untold and The Imitation Game. In The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, Dance joins in the cast in an pivotal role for the story, that of the ruthless Emperor of Nilfgaard, Emhyr var Emreis. The featurette is available in the player below.
In Wild Hunt, it is the Emperor who charges Witcher Geralt of Rivia to find Siri, the Child of Prophecy. Based on the previously released trailers, the Emperor’s machinations in mind for Siri sound quite ominous. Siri is a living weapon who can possibly alter the shape of the world. Wild Hunt marks the first time ever the highly acclaimed and respected thespian in Dance has worked on a video game project. Having an actor such as Mr. Dance working on The Witcher to play such a significant character in the mythos is really exciting.
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is nearly upon the world. The game finally hits the shelves on May 19 for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and Windows PC.
