Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 and The Last of Us ‘VGA’ Trailers
When Castlevania: Lords of Shadow eventually released in late 2010, I was extremely skeptical due to Mercury Steam’s previous title Clive Barker’s: Jericho. It was difficult to restrain myself from the hype with a set of fantastic pre-release trailers, however I eventually was able to demo the title at E3 2010; in that moment all doubt washed away. Castlevania: LOS ended up being my personal Game of the Year with its emotional soundtrack, polished gameplay, and 20 hours of epic content, a rarity in the action-adventure genre. Let’s just say I’m a little excited for a sequel that not only looks to improve the formula, but takes the series in a new direction, allowing you to play as the Prince of Darkness.
On the other hand, what else can we say about The Last of Us. Naughty Dog has consistently proven themselves as quite possibly one of the best developers on the planet. It also continues their trend of releasing more mature titles as the company evolves.
