Call Of Duty Launches Season 3 For Modern Warfare And Warzone
However way you answer the Call of Duty, you’ve got some new content to enjoy right now as Activision launches Season 3 in both Modern Warfare and its battle royale spinoff Warzone.
First, in Modern Warfare, three new 6v6 multiplayer maps have been added: Talsik Backlot, Hovec Sawmill, and Aniyar Incursion. There are also two new weapons (the SK5 marksman rifle and the Renetti 9 mm sidearm), a new operator (Alex), and some new vehicle skins.
Talsik Backlot
In the middle of the Urzikstan desert lies an urban city with a major construction project taking place at its center. With its citizens long evacuated, combat takes place from door-to-door as teams fight for control of the various overlooks and buildings.
Hovec Sawmill
A sleepy farming village is under peril, as its main sawmill building has caught fire. Operators will fight within the burning wreckage and around it, visiting the local businesses such as the butchery, the mess hall, and even the beekeeper’s area, which includes a couple of active hives!
Aniyar Incursion
You’ve experienced it in 10v10 and in Ground War – now fight within a more enclosed version of the area based around the central palace in Aniyah Incursion.
Meanwhile, the biggest addition to Warzone is quads mode! You can finally team up with THREE of your friends and play as one squad. The loot pool has also been given a shakeup and there are new modes like Scopes and Scatter Guns (where only sniper rifles and shotguns are allowed). In addition, every weapon type now comes in silenced and non-silenced variants.
These updates to Call of Duty Modern Warfare and Call of Duty Warzone are available starting today on all platforms: PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
