Call of Duty Black Ops III Zombie Mode Detailed
Zombies may not have started out in the Call of Duty franchise, but they’re now a part of the mythology that fans can’t wait to get their hands on. Treyarch held a panel detailing what fans could expect from the Zombie Mode this go round. First off, they revealed a trailer for the game:
Then they revealed an all-star voice cast, including: Heather Graham, Neal McDonough, Ron Perlman, Robert Picardo, and Jeff Goldblum. The mode is called Shadows of Evil, and it will be set in the 1940’s where an unlikely group of people will band together to kill zombies. Isn’t that how it always works? The Treyarch crew noted that this will be a deeper story mode, with each character having a deep, yet flawed personality. From a boxer, to a dancer, to a “shadow man” who isn’t reliable at all, this story will delve deep into each character.
As a bonus, Treyarch revealed how Zombie Mode came to be in the Call of Duty games. The team even noted that it “shouldn’t have happened”. It did though, and it was because they would tinker with the game after “work” was done. They kept going with it, and then it became a real thing. Now the zombie mode is a staple of the series.
Call of Duty: Black Ops III, plus Shades of Evil, arrives on Nov. 6.
