Call of Duty Black Ops III: Multiplayer Beta Details and Trailer Revealed
Activision and Treyarch have revealed all the details for the upcoming Call of Duty Black Ops III multiplayer beta, which is coming soon. In addition, a new trailer for the multipayer beta was revealed, and you can check it out in the player below.
The upcoming multiplayer beta is set to start on August 19 for the PlayStation 4. It will begin a week later for Xbox One and Windows PC on August 26. The beta will allow players to try out the Specalistis system and try out the game’s own weapon customization using the Weapon Paint Shop. For those who have forgotten, the beta version will be available to players who pre-ordered the game for PlayStation 4. The beta goes live for players who pre-ordered the game on Xbox One and PC on August 26. Since this will be a beta version and a stress test of sorts for the game, Treyarch will be having gated progression caps. In addition, Arena will not be available for the beta version.
The beta features three maps, here is a full list and descriptions:
- Hunted: This big game hunting lodge is situated beneath a waterfall in the lush mountains of Ethiopia, where rugged terrain opens up to long sightlines and a stealthy underwater pathway.
- Combine: Set in the remote Egyptian Sahara, this vertical farming and sustainability research facility plays fast and frenetic with tight interiors, an open middle and a dangerous flank path.
- Evac: An abandoned emergency evacuation zone atop an overgrown rooftop in the middle of Singapore’s flooded quarantine zone.
There will be a number of different Specialist characters to choose from, each which have their own unique weapons and special abilities. Available game modes include Team Deathmatch, Domination, Demolition, Kill Confirmed, Hardpoint, Capture the Flag and Search & Destroy.
Call of Duty Black Ops III arrives on November 6 for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and Windows PC. Besides the new trailer, you can also check out some screenshots below for the new Specialist characters: Spectre and Battery.
